Designing a PBL

Name of the Exercise Designing a PBL
Number of participants 12
Duration 1 hour
Objective This exercise will allow Trainees to put in practice what they learned regarding (Problem Based Learning) PBLs and how they are built, in a collaborative way. It will also foster critical thinking by having all participants discussing about possible solutions for the created PBLs.
How to conduct it Trainees must:
a. Identify three intended learning outcomes Replying to the question “What will learners know and be able to do?”
b. Design the scenario of the PBL Design a scenario based on a real problem/issue related to the contents of the session or experienced by the Trainee, connected to the contents of the session, in a way that it generates discussion and exchange of ideas
c. Explain the PBL to the other participants
d. Discuss how it can be solved with other participants.
