Objective For trainees:
· to receive relevant information regarding the access of the online environment
· to ensure the accumulation of relevant digital skills necessary for the use of different digital devices that are dedicated to the navigation in online environment.
· to receive relevant information on how to connect to the relevant sources of information related to the teaching methods and welding technology
How to conduct it Connecting to topic – 5 min
1. The trainer introduces in brief the tasks of the workshop
Interaction – 10 min
1. The trainer facilitates the involvement of the trainees in the online environment by short demonstrations.
2. The trainer asks the trainees to share their own expertise in accessing the online environment and their own expertise in gathering information and exchange of information with other teachers / trainers.
3. The trainer circulates a list of questions related to the use of the online environment and ask traineess to circle (or check) the ones they don’t know the answers to, or to add new elements, as questions, on which they have low or confusing knowledge. Then, let them turn in the paper.
4. Open discussion is encouraged by the trainer
Topics detailing - Brief presentation of the digital tools, both hardware and software types – 10 min
1. Trainer gives mini lesson to clarify:
· What are the benefits of using the online environment? · How to access the online environment?
· What type of information can be obtained from the online environment?
· How to ask for specific information?
· How to check if a returned information is true or false? Topics to discuss:
· The structure of the internet
· Internet protocols and browsers and websites and webpages
· Defining a request of information, identification of the returned information, selection of the most relevant information.
Exercise – Case study – 15 min
1. The trainer creates 5 groups of max 3 participants
2. The trainer designs specific tasks related to the obtaining of specific relevant information for the welding domain, for each group.
3. After filling the received task, each group will share own expertise, which will be discussed by all
