Objective | Reflect on the working practices and develop new ideas on how to embed entrepreneurship key competence development in own training/teaching activity, set goals and weigh the risks and benefits of embedding entrepreneurship key competence development strategies in training. |
How to conduct it | These are the principles: Facilitate creative thinking throughout the learning process Promote active entrepreneurial learning through real-world contexts Foster purposeful collaboration both in and beyond the school Encourage students to create value for others through their learning Stimulates reflexion, flexible thinking and learning from experience Makes entrepreneurial competences an explicit part of learning and assessment The steps of the exercise * Make the question: Which of the six guiding principles do you already include in your teaching? * Each participant should share an example on how you do it with the group. * Split the group in pairs (if there are people from the same organisation it is beneficial to pair them). Make available the description of each guiding principle in the mini lesson, so they can read it. * Provide the materials for work: table below (printed A3 format), coloured pen, post its… * Ask participants to reflect on their teaching practices and on new ways to tackle with all the guiding principles and the goals to get there. * Set long, medium and short-term goals to embed entrepreneurship key competence development in own training/teaching activity * After all the participants fulfil their table, they will present it to the group and discuss the new ways of coping with the guiding principles (15min per pair). |
Remarks | An exercise to generate new ideas on how to embed entrepreneurship key competence development in own training/teaching activity, think on the pedagogical strategies to implement these new ideas, regarding the expected goals, risks that will be taken and benefits it will bring. The main aim of this exercise is to initiate processes that create value. It is expected that participants learn with others and to prioritise, organise ideas and follow-up in their professional environment. |
